Alan Hirt

Alan Hirt has deep roots in the plant industry, having grown up in a family greenhouse, founded in 1915 by his grandfather, Samuel Hirt, in Strongsville, Ohio. With a degree in Horticulture and Ornamental Floriculture from the Ohio State University, Alan became knowledgeable figure in gardening. He worked as the Staff Horticulturist at WKYC-TV3, sharing his expertise on popular shows like the Morning Exchange, AM Cleveland and the Dave Patterson show. Additionally, he contributed a weekly gardening column for the Cleveland Plain Dealer, helping many locals connect with nature and nurture their own gardens with passion and love.
