Back in 2013 Cathy and I were in desperate need of a cat. We ventured to the nearest rescue shelter and found a little kitten that caught our eye. Unfortunately, the cage had a pink ribbon on it that meant the kitten was sick but we couldn’t resist the little fella. So we took her home, ailments and all. After may visits to the vet and a couple operations latter, Tinkerbelle, as we named her, is now fine. She is an unusual cat with like two layers of fur, one brown and the top one black. We decided to do some genetic testing and discovered she was a Norwegian Forest Cat. Who would have guessed? Fast forward to 2024. Tinkerbelle has grown into a mature, wonderful cat and she loves both the indoors and out. Cathy has taught her to follow us outdoors, just like a dog and with no leash. Believe it out not, she now weighs about 20 pounds. That’s one big cat! And her coat is unbelievable, so thick. She is ready for the winter. I wish we were, too. As we grow older, we appreciate spring, summer and fall even more and we love Tinkerbelle even more!
