Samuel Hirt started selling Horseradish in the Sheriff’s Street Market in Cleveland, Ohio. Then he decide he wanted to grow the horseradish himself. He purchased some land in what is now known as Strongsville, Ohio. He built a greenhouse to help facilitate the growing of the horseradish. One day I got a phone call from a man who said he had a bottle of Hirt’s Horseradish and he soon gave it to me. A “blast from the past”.
